Detailed Itinerary
Day1: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
Enjoy an early breakfast, join your driver guide for a transfer to Kibale forest national park. The journey takes you through Kampala city, Mityana, Mubende as well as Kyenjojo with a wonderful stopover at Nakayima tree- a culture spiritual tree. Here you meet story tellers about the Buganda culture. Later proceed with the journey to Kibale forest driving through large tea plantations. Enjoy an enroute lunch plus an optional visit to Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru cultural site featuring beautiful sceneries with interesting background stories.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking experience and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Enjoy an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu Tourism Center for briefing. While, you are grouped into small groups of 6 people and given ranger guides/ trackers. The trekking takes you about 2-5 hours and you spend one hour with a chimpanzee community upon locating them. Expect to delight in some hikes while tracking through the forested landscapes. Later return back to the lodge, relax, freshen up and have lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. This is a great spot to sight other interesting primates like the L’hoest monkeys, Vervet as well as a variety of plenty of colorful bird species. Revert back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector
Have breakfast at the lodge, and begin a transfer to Bwindi Forest national park via the Ishasha sector where you get a chance to see the tree climbing lions. The drive takes you about 4-5 hours drive to access the park. Upon reaching the park, check in at the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience and transfer to Bunyonyi Lake
Wake up and have an early breakfast, later your driver takes you to the park headquarters for briefing. You will be divided into groups of 8 people and assigned a driver guide. Don’t forget to take enough drinking water because the trekking exercise can sometimes tend to be long and frustrating but offers a unique fascinating experience. After your close encounter to the mountain gorillas, return back to the lodge for a short nap, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 5: Morning Canoe ride and Departure
After breakfast, delight in a morning canoe ride as you explore the beautiful sceneries at the lake plus the islands. Reaching Kampala in the evening, you will be dropped at your hotel of residence or at the airport thus concluding the end of your chimpanzee -gorilla safari.
