Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to kibale forest national park.
Start your day with an early breakfast, later meet and greet with the company driver guide for a drive to kibale forest national park, heading westwards to Fort portal, the journey takes you about 4-5 hours drive with a 4×4 safari vehicle by road. Having lunch enroute, proceed with the journey with either an optional community visit or tour to the crater lakes region to delight in the magnificent views. On reaching, check in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation option: chimpanzee forest guest house – budget, primate lodge – luxury.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking experience plus a guided walk
Wake up early for a cup of coffee, transfer to park headquarters at Kanyanchu tourists center for breifying about the chimpanzee trekking exercise, here to you are taught about the dos and don’t while tracking, you assigned a ranger guide, head to the starting point and begin the trek, as you walk through the forest searching for the habituated chimpanzees, grab a chance sight to other exciting primates like white and black monkeys, red tailed, Vervet monkeys, bush babies, baboons among others. After the awesome experience, return to lodge, check out and begin a transfer back to Kampala. Arriving in the evening, your driver guide drops you at your hotel of residence in Kampala or Entebbe Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
