Mbale is a district in the eastern side of Uganda; it is about 245km (152mi) north east of Kampala with a population according to the 2014 census 488,960 people. Time travel is 4 hours from Kampala.

The local language spoke here is Gisu, also Kiswahili and English are spoken. Weather experienced here is medium dry with annual rainfall about 1,270mm; the dry season runs from June to August and from December to March.
Mbale has progressed in higher Education institutions like; Islamic university in Uganda, Busitema University, Uganda Martyrs University and Livingstone International University.

Mountain Elgon National park: it is located on the boarder of Uganda and Kenya, with a caldera depression on top of it after volcanic activity.
Mount Elgon national park is a home of different animal species like
Buffalos and cheeters which roam on the mountain on both side (Kenya and Uganda). The park harbors forest monkeys, elephants and 300 bird species.
Simu and Sisi falls; these are found in Sironko county, the falls run from the upper surface of Elgon mountain to the floors of the low lands, Its estimated to be 50 meters high and 7 meters wide.
Bufumbo and wamala forest reserves; bird watching, cave exploration, cliff viewing, mountain climbing activities are done. Its also a home of blue tailed and black and white monkeys.
Bulukyeke/Bukagai hills and Buleneni and Butandinga cliffs.
Cultural heritage sites like semei kakungulu tombs and mutoto circumcision sites.
