Entebbe is known to be the major town in central Uganda; it lies on Lake Victoria foreland. Its approximately 37km(23mi) southwest of Kampala the capital city of Uganda. It takes almost 1 hour from Kampala to Entebbe.
Entebbe town is found in Wakiso district with a population of 69,958 people according to the 2014 National population and housing census Uganda.

Protea hotel, white buffalo house Lugonjo, J.residence motel, Andrieta beach hotel, Entebbe golf club, Victoria mall, Aero beach, Gorettes pizza and Imperial resort beach.

Tourism attractions include:
National botanical gardens, these are good for watching different bird species.
Uganda virus research Centre, which deals with involved disease prevention, control & microbiology epidemiology.
Uganda wildlife education center, it’s a fun and thrilling place to learn about eco-system and animals in Uganda.
Nkumba University, it’s a private higher institution, which was officially recognized in 1994.
State House, it is the official administration and residence of the president of Uganda.
Kigungu landing site, here its where the first catholic missionaries landed, father Simeon Lourdel pere (mapeera) and brother Amans Delmas landed in Uganda on 17th February 1879.
Uganda reptile village, this is a home for protecting more than 20 different species of reptiles like cobras, boom slangs, skinks, monitor lizards, tortoises and the most poisonous snake in Africa the Baboon Viper.
Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary, this is a home of orphaned chimps that have been rescued by Uganda wildlife authority from poachers.
Mamba Swamp, this is a well founded home for different water bird species like the shoebill.

The climate in Entebbe is tropical rainforest typically the temperatures are always high, rainfall (rainy season) is seen in January, March, April, May, October, November and December.
